The Baylor Woodwind Quintet has recorded a compact disc of works by Baylor composers, a release that is now available from Centaur Records. The new CD, entitled The Baylor Woodwind Quintet: Music by Richard Willis, Scott McAllister, Paul Richards, and Charles Rochester Young, features the talents of flutist Helen Ann Shanley, oboist Doris DeLoach, bassoonist Matthew Morris, clarinetist Richard Shanley, and hornist Jeffrey Powers, along with percussionist Todd Meehan. All selections on this CD were written by Baylor composers (faculty and students, past and present) expressly for the Baylor Woodwind Quintet. Support for this project came from Baylor University Research and Arts & Humanities Grants and through the Baylor Summer Sabbatical program.

Thanks to all GWAA alums who came out to the bonfire and the Homecoming game this weekend! We had a blast at the bonfire, KKY/TBS alumni mixer, and mingling at the parade and the game. We had close to 60 marchers this year–an alumni band record! It was good to see all of you and we hope that we will see you again at our next GWAA event! If you have some good pictures from Homecoming this year, please share with fellow alums by posting it on our Facebook page–Baylor University Golden Wave Band Alumni.
