Fall Alumni Events Information

Haven?t had a chance to make it back to BU in a while? Well this year we have added an extra opportunity! This fall the Golden Wave Alumni Association, Inc. will be hosting two fall events.

Our first event of the season will take place on October 4th vs. Oklahoma. Alumni Day will contain a game day social event for all members, our annual meeting (officer elections and annual business will take place), and a chance to play in the stands with the Golden Wave Band.

On November 1st, we will host our traditional Homecoming event. This event will differ from the past few years in that the only activity will be to march with the band. We will again have spots for alumni to march in the ?Baylor? script show. A lunch option will also be provided.

The uniform for both events (and all events going forward) will be your new alumni band polo. Polo?s will be made available at the time of the event registration. We are currently in the process of designing and negotiating the price of the new shirts. If you purchased a shirt last year we will be offering a discounted purchase on the new shirts. The new shirt is planned to last as the official event shirt for at least the next 5 years.

In addition to the official fall events we would like to invite you to tailgate with some fellow BUGWB alumni. Each week we will have a group of alumni tailgating on the student side close to the practice fields. Just look for the Texas and BU flags and the Golden Wave Alumni Association, Inc. logo. It?s a BYOM (bring your own meat) kind of a deal, but all the fixings will be provided. If you?re planning on coming to one shoot an e-mail to so that we can have enough for you.

We hope that you will start to make plans now to come back to both of the events this fall and also a tailgate or two.
