Homecoming Details Update

Hello Homecoming attendees!! Just a few details…

If you plan on marching or playing in the stands, the uniform will be the GWAA gold and white polo and blue jean pants–no shorts, please, as per the request of the directors. 

If you are a season ticket holder and did not purchase tickets through GWAA, PLEASE make sure that you bring your season ticket with you to the game.  You will enter the gate using your season ticket and then come and sit in the GWAA blocked off section of seats in the section in between the marching band and the endzone.

Area Christmas Party Dates Set

It’s the most wonderful time of the year….and we want you to share it with other BUGWB alums!

This year our newly appointed area representatives are hosting area Christmas Parties in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Waco, and Houston.  We’ve set the dates and want you to mark them on you calendar. 

Houston - Friday, December 5th.

Dallas/Fort Worth - Saturday, December 6th

Waco - Saturday, December 6th

There will be more information coming to you soon via e-mail with all the details.  Make plan now to share some of your holiday with us!

Registration Deadline Approaching

Just a reminder that the registration deadline for Homecoming is quickly approaching. Registration closes on October 20th. We’ve only got a few spots left in the script Baylor show so register now!

The Golden Wave Alumni Association, Inc. mourns the passing of Annette Kasparian, former Secretary for the Alumni Association. Annette passed away on September 24, 2008, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Annette?s life was marked to the end by tireless service to those around her. Although this service extended well beyond the effort she put into the marching band and Alumni Association, her years of service to the band (as both a member and alumni) served as a model for those around her. Her spirit and passion will be greatly missed.

The Alumni Association has created the ?Annette Kasparian Tireless Service Award? to honor the legacy of this remarkable woman. More information on how you can donate to this scholarship fund will be available soon.
